Very hot temperatures expected for Thursday

Meteorologists predict hot temperatures across the northern coasts and very hot temperatures through the entire country on Thursday during daylight.

Temperatures will grow mild by night throughout the country.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 33C in Alexandria, 39C in Cairo, 43C in Qena, 43C in Luxor and Aswan.

Mist will impact visibility during morning hours in the northern parts of the country. Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated also for the northern parts of the country.

Winds will be northwesterly and may disturb maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be mild, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds.
